It had been about 6o years from Independence. One question which knocks me time and again, '' are we still Independent or not''? I think, we are not.
I would define indepenece as '' we can do what we like. and we would like to do what we are best in''. Keeping these two things in mind, I just had talk with my friend who is doing Ex MBA from a reputed business school in India. And he was telling me '' I am not permitted to do what i am willing to do, even though knowing in advance that it would be mine core competence in time to come''. What would we worst than that?? Even in executive MBA, one is not supposed to do that.Its just like drinking a glass of milk, knowing that its poision. I think it is the fact where difference lies. It is ok with kid who doesnt know anyhting about their career. And hence teacher try hard to make them understand about studies. But when we are doing MBA, then also we dont have indepence to subjects to study and innovate in that.
Second is the language. People say that communication is the key point for success in their career. They dont stop there, rather they say that being good in the English language is all about communication. I agree with the importance of communication but hate the damn fucking opinion about ''English as a prerequisite for good communication''. Take the case of the Chine. People speaking english in the China are even lower than the India. And it has been a proven fact that he is in a position to compete with the best in the world. Futhermore all exective and academics are done in the Chinese language. It proves that the people are best in their mother tongue. And there is always a gap for expressing opinion in mother tongue and other language. And also how can we compare two situation. One who is getting this lanuage as a gift from mother land and other who is forced to learn it. For others, it cant be a testor for an effective communication. I personally think, we need to rethink about this so that we give enough space for inovations, intelligence, attitude etc. rather than narrowing down our approch towards communication as being effective in english language.
